RACE PACKING CHECKLIST

DUFFEL BAG to put everything in, with YOUR NAME on it, clearly labeled

HELMET - No riders on bikes allowed to ride around the venue without one!

RACE PLATE (they have timing chips in them, so keep them in a safe place when not racing) - the Coaches will give them to you at your first event.

YOUR BIKE - BIKE in race-ready condition! A clean bike is a fast bike! Brakes with plenty of pad left, and not rubbing. Wheels true, tires with tread. Chain clean and lubed. Any issues with above items MUST be addressed before race day!

WATER BOTTLES - 1-4 - filled with clean water (one bottle per race lap, more if HOT racing conditions)

RACE FUEL/FOOD - (bring the food that you train with)

CLOTHING - Pre-ride kit - jersey, bike shorts/bibs, 2 pair cycling socks, sports bra, race Kit (Redwood Team jersey, bike shorts/bibs, socks), arm & leg warmers, windbreaker jacket, sweats, warm jacket (to wear before race)

BIKING SUNGLASSES

AFTER THE EVENT/RACE CLOTHES - shorts and pants, shirt and/or preferably Redwood-related to show our support for the team!

BIKE TOOLS - we will have many of these items in our team trailer/PitZone but it is always good to have your own items on hand as well. Multi-tool, tube, tire levers, duct tape, CO2 cartridge & small pump, Technu for poison oak, body wipes (race venues don't have running water, generally), sunscreen, bug repellant, deodorant, towel for you towel for your bike, pajamas, toothbrush and other bathroom supplies, earbuds/headphones (if you want music while you warm up), plastic bag for wet, dirty cycling clothes

FINALLY - A Positive, "Have Fun!" Attitude!
