WHY JOIN?
Mountain biking builds character, self-confidence, biking skills, sound mind, sound body and a fun social environment.
TRAINING
Whether you are new to biking or have prior experience, there is room on the mountain bike team for you! Our Coaches will teach you everything you need to know.
RACING
Need more cowbells! One of the best parts of mountain biking is race season! Meet riders from all over the region, cheer on our teammates and make memories for a lifetime.
WHY BE A PART OF THE TEAM?
Our team provides one of the few ‘no-cut’ sport options at Redwood High School; students of all abilities and grade levels are welcome to join. A few riders have never ridden a mountain bike before. Nonetheless, we are consistently one of the top high school mountain bike teams in the state. We are nurturing the next generation of mountain bikers. Naturally, we value teamwork, fitness, discipline, perseverance, and competition but it’s more than that. Being part of a team in such a large high school makes the school feel a bit smaller!
Our talented volunteer coaches provide more than just expert advice on bike maintenance, riding, and racing. We educate our riders about the importance of nutrition, hydration, sleep, and other healthy habits that last a lifetime. Ahhh - fresh air, remarkable views, and Mt Tam. Marin County is not only beautiful, it’s also a cycling playground that challenges and rewards us. We mix high-intensity intervals with endurance rides and technical skills work. We’re pretty proud of the results;
